Ann Williams, a passionate climber from United States tells us about her favourite locations to climb in US:
There are so many places in the world I’d love to climb, and so far my range of places seen is not nearly big enough.
Out of where I’ve been, I really like The Red River Gorge in Kentucky because the rock is so interesting.

It has a lot of pockets which I love, but if you walk around, there are these little interesting… almost like designs the rock makes.

I love it’s coloring. They also have beautiful foliage and plants, and a large range of climbs. I think the climbing there is really fun.

It’s a great place for sport climbing and there are also trad and bouldering routes. I’m not as familiar with them. It was a great place to go as a beginner to because the easier climbs like 5.6,5.7 are really fun.

I also love Bishop, CA. It has some thrilling high boulders, but also some really fun and interesting rock. Mostly I love it because it is just breathtakingly beautiful.

The town is amazing too. I saw some of the best sunsets and moons in my life there.
I also like Rumney, NH. It has bouldering, trad, and sport climbing also. The rock is very mixed from high quality climbs to ones that are a bit more chossy.

There is a wide variety and lots of climbing to be done. I think there is just something peaceful about New Hampshire. I love that pine scent. I feel good every time I’m there.
