There is this rising trend of Mountain Biking amongst the active sports enthusiasts. Get to know the right techniques before you head out on trails.
1. Braking
Use the brakes carefully while going downhill.
Front brakes should be used easily to stay in control while biking.
2. Downhill
To absorb the shocks of ride and bumps, keep your elbows loose.
Make use of shoulders to guide you during turns.
Keep your hands firm. They should not be tense.
Stand on pedals on a rocky and bumpy terrain.
Drop you saddle a bit on a steep or bumpy path.
Always keep your front pedal slightly higher so small rocks can be avoided from getting jammed.
Concentrate on the ride.
3. Uphill
Lower you gears for a comfortable ride.
Stay seated so that you don’t spin out of the track.
Keep pedalling for a smooth ride!
